A small plane crashed in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, on Saturday afternoon, sparking a house fire and prompting an evacuation of the area. The SOCATA TBM7, a single-engine business aircraft, went down near the intersection of 109th Avenue North and Noble Parkway around 12:20 p.m.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the plane departed from Des Moines International Airport in Iowa and was headed to Anoka County-Blaine Airport in Minneapolis. Fortunately, no one inside the house was injured, but officials have not yet released details on injuries or the cause of the crash.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate the incident, with the NTSB taking the lead. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz stated that his team is monitoring the situation closely and expressed gratitude to the first responders who answered the call.
